Social Fabric Collective Attendance Policy

Each student accepted in to this program is a valuable member of our creative community.  Everyone's involvement and participation is a vital part of this collaborative effort.   A commitment to attend and engage each week is required  to get the most out of this experience.

Punctuality is critical and attendance is expected.  You should be at your work station by 4:00pm each week.

Excused Absences:

• Regardless of the reason for your absence, you are expected to properly notify us in writing or in an email at least one week before the class you are unable to attend. Please include your name, the date of the class you’re requesting to skip, and the reason you aren’t able to attend.  jamie@socialfabriccollective.org

Emergency Absences:

• We do realize, however, that there are times when absences and tardiness cannot be avoided - such as medical, personal, or family emergencies.  In these instances, please use your best judgment and notify us as soon as possible.  In the unlikely event emergency absences become a pattern, documentation supporting your absence may be required.

Unexcused Absences:

• Unexcused absenteeism or excessive tardiness, however, will not be tolerated and will be cause for disciplinary action such as a required make up class, up to and including exclusion from the group exhibit or discharge from the program.

In the interest of accountability, it is the sole responsibility of the student to make up any classwork or homework assignments that results from an absence.
