"Photography is magic and learning about capturing light is learning a new language, which is why the work of Social Fabric Collective is so important. Photography is about  looking at the world for the first time and finding a way of expressing yourself.

We are are all dreamers, and the work of Social Fabric Collective is an extremely important link to exposing kids at an early age to making some of those dreams come true."

For many teens, learning photography is simply out of reach financially.

Social Fabric Collective is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to making this transformative experience available to as many students as possible and thus we accept teenagers into our photography program regardless of their ability to pay the tuition.  Currently, everyone receives some form of financial assistance and 90% of our students’ participation is fully subsidized.

During the semester, each SFC student is supplied with a camera, works at a fully equipped computer workstation, participates in class field trips and volunteer opportunities that broaden their horizons.

Donated equipment from friends in the photography industry help us provide this very rich experience for our students, but it’s the generosity of our individual donors that allow us to offer the class to our students on a need-blind basis.

The work we do would not be possible without the generous support of our patrons. Please consider donating at one of the levels below or choose a custom amount of your choice.

Any dollar amount is greatly appreciated and carefully spent.  For questions related to in kind contributions or gift donation receipt letters please contact us at  jamie@socialfabriccollective.org   or  (917) 647-5390  or you may also send a check to:
